10.00 and 16:00 BST

All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) placed on the market in the EU must comply with the requirements of the regulation (EU) 2016/425. This webinar is aimed at all manufacturers and suppliers of PPE, especially those that are new to this legislation as it will focus on how to prepare for certification and the technical information that is required.

SATRA as a Notified Body for the European PPE Regulation with ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratories and ISO 17065 accredited certification teams is ideally placed to explain the technical requirements manufacturers and suppliers of PPE need to comply with in order to place their products on the market.

During this webinar SATRA’s certification expert Hannah Coe will give an overview of the Regulation including brief explanations about preparing documentation including risk assessments, the EU Declaration of Conformity and the Annex II Basic Health and Safety Requirements. She will also go through what happens when the certificate expires after 5 years and some examples of good practice to undertake.

Hannah has worked at SATRA for 7 years and has been in the PPE certification team for 4 years. She undertakes EU Type Examination assessments of many products, including but not exclusive to footwear, fall protection products and chemical and mechanical resistant gloves.

There will be a Q&A session at the end. SATRA is currently prioritising the testing and certification of face shields, eyewear, gloves and protective clothing to help customers in the supply of PPE to help contain the COVID-19 Pandemic. If you have any questions relating to this, please post your questions online.
