During this webinar Zach Armitage will summarise some key conclusions resulting from SATRA’s long running Global Foot Dimensions survey, which collected more than 26,000 digital foot scans from ages ranging 1-100 in several global locations.

As well as updating foot guideline values, this survey also aimed to investigate any notable differences between global demographics, particularly between the USA, Europe and China. Data was also collected for both adults and children to investigate foot development and the footwear needs of the two groups.

Manufacturers, designers and retailers currently rely on last dimensions and understanding of foot shape mostly based on foot data collected several decades ago, or with limited sample sizes. The results of the SATRA survey will enable manufacturers to update their tooling and shoe dimensions to better fit modern consumers.
