All products entering the European market should adhere to general product safety and be safe to use. This seminar provides an introduction to applying the concepts of general product safety to furniture, and the use of laboratory testing to give evidence of due diligence.
The complex REACH legislation contains restricted substances requirements which have implications for furniture and other consumer goods. There will be an overview of this legislation which will identify the relevant obligations for the industry.
There are specific legal requirements for furniture flammability which will be discussed before the complementary buffet lunch. The afternoon will include a tour of our testing facilities before a final questions and discussion session to conclude the day.
