The new PPE regulation and testing of safety footwear for the European market

Safety Footwear sold in Europe is classified as PPE and requires mandatory testing to ensure it meets all specified protective properties for the industry for which it is designated. The tests required for CE-certified footwear are explained, together with how the introduction of the new PPE regulation will affect manufacturers and suppliers.
