In order to complete an EU-type examination to certify gloves as Category II and Category III Personal Protective Equipment, Notified Bodies will require test reports to show that testing has been carried out in accordance with European testing standards.
The key glove performance standards to assess protection are EN 407 (thermal risks), EN 388 (mechanical risks) and EN ISO 374-1 which sets performance requirements for chemical protection. These standards will be explained during this seminar with the aid of some practical demonstrations.
Sessions will also be presented on the PPE Regulation, chemical permeation and degradation and the general performance requirements for protective gloves, EN 420. There will be opportunities for questions throughout the day and individual consultations if required.
A buffet lunch is included, along with a full tour of SATRA’s testing facilities.

Who should attend?

This event will be useful for protective glove manufacturers, importers, distributors and retailers, especially those who are new to the industry and would like to discover more about glove testing and certification.
