China technical seminar programme: Leather solings - understanding their manufacture, usage and properties

Leather remains a popular soling material for certain styles of footwear. Despite having comparatively poor wear properties, leather soles still retain a ‘quality’ image in public perception. Guidance is given to footwear end-uses and also on how to ensure they perform to customers' expectations.

This seminar is part of a special week of seminars at SATRA's offices in Donnguan. 

Each of the sessions in this new seminar programme will be led by SATRA experts Pete Doughty, Mike George, John Reed and Steve Rose, and will cover important issues affecting producers and distributors. Some of the presentations will be reserved exclusively for SATRA members, with other sessions open also to non-members. Each talk will be in English with a Chinese translation made by one of SATRA’s China office team.
