Texon strengthens its Indian operations

Texon is looking to develop sales of its footwear structural material in India.

Footwear structural materials brand Texon has announced three new agency distribution agreements in India. According to the company, this is part of a global strategy to strengthen its business by building a more integrated and efficient operation.

Based in Chennai, Texon (India) Pvt Ltd – a subsidiary of Texon International Group Limited – will now distribute all products in the Texon range through a network of sales agencies that will cover the key areas of footwear production in the country. The new Texon agents are Priti Enterprises, located in Chennai, Mumbai-based Federal Sales Corporation and Shroff Sales Corporation, based in Agra.

“We are responding to the needs of the footwear industry in India by integrating our services for the entire Texon range,” said Texon business development director, Matt Smith. “Texon has chosen our new agents for their excellence in sales, customer support and local industry experience.”

Texon (India) has sales representatives, customer care operations and logistics systems. The company also has a bonded and duty-paid warehouse to support customers in the South of India. Shoemakers in northern India will be supported by a new bonded warehouse in Agra that will become operational in November.
