Basic Shoemaking book
SATRA’s Basic Shoemaking describes and outlines the entire shoemaking process from pattern cutting to final inspection and boxing.
Written by SATRA experts, each of the 44 chapters of Basic Shoemaking takes the reader through a particular stage in the footwear manufacturing process and will be of value to anyone working within the footwear manufacturing sector, including students, designers, developers, technologists, operatives, supervisors, managers and directors. It will also be useful to sourcing companies, retailers, product developers and components and materials suppliers throughout the footwear supply chain. Indeed, as well as for the specific technical content it contains, Basic Shoemaking is prized in its entirety for preserving in print a tradition that is all but lost in many parts of the world.
The price per copy is GBP 45 for SATRA members and GBP 75 for non-members. Discount is available for certain multiple copy quantities: five copies or more 5% discount; ten copies or more 10% discount; 20 copies or more 15% discount.
