Caleres strengthens sales strategy

Malcolm Robinson will lead a new division.

Footwear producer Caleres has announced the formation of its new men’s and international division with Malcolm Robinson as president. In his new role, Mr Robinson – who joins with more than thirty years’ experience in men’s apparel, brand positioning, managing global brands and merchandising – will head what are termed ‘strategic growth initiatives’ for the company’s men’s brands, including high-end leather shoemaker Allen Edmonds, that Caleres acquired in December 2016 for a reported $255 million. His remit also includes expanding the international nature of the company’s brand portfolio.
