Hotter CEO wins 'Inspiring Woman' honour

Sara Prowse received the award for her business background and career in retail.

Sara Prowse – chief executive of footwear producer Hotter – has been named winner of the business section in the 26th annual ‘Inspiring Women Awards’ for north west England. According to Jacqueline Hughes-Lundy, founder of the accolade, Sara was recognised for her ‘dynamic business background and career within retail’. Ms Hughes-Lundy added: “We wanted to recognise her approach to staff progress and development within the business.”

The Inspiring Women Awards were designed to reflect the ‘talent, ambition and selfless spirit of the women in the north west of England’. For the past 26 years, these women are said to have had inspiring stories while providing positive role models for upcoming generations. “They have stood the test of time, because at their heart is the desire to find and recognise those women who inspire us,” stated Ms Hughes-Lundy. Manchester’s Midland Hotel, Sky Sports presenter Angela Powers interviewed the finalists, allowing them to share their stories.

Based in Lancashire, Hotter is the UK’s largest shoe manufacturer by volume. The company employs over 1,200 people and is reported to have more than one million customers around the world.
