Crowds flock to Vietnam show

Reporting on a successful event introducing SATRA’s services to delegates from around the world.

The 21th International Shoes and Leather Exhibition was recently held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Organised by Top Repute in conjunction with the Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association (LEFASO), this is recognised as a very influential event for the Vietnamese market. This latest edition attracted over 700 exhibitors from 32 countries, with more than 30,000 visitors seeking business opportunities.

SATRA enjoyed a successful exhibition, with many member companies and customers visiting our stand. SATRA representatives at the show included chief executive John Hooker, Peter Allen (division manager), China office general manager Anthony Mak, head of SATRA quality services Oliver Chandler, Vivien Hsieh (Asia business manager) and China marketing manager Ken Li. Allen Duong and Carol Pham from Khoi Toan – SATRA’s authorised equipment distributer in Vietnam – were also present to answer visitors’ questions.

SATRA’s Ollie Chandler presented one of the popular seminars during the exhibition

SATRA presented two technical seminars on the second day of the exhibition, on the subjects of ‘footwear comfort testing’ and ‘production efficiency systems’. Both presentations were well received, with delegates from footwear sourcing companies, manufacturers and material suppliers attending.
