Columbia Sportswear – owner of such outdoor brands as Columbia, Sorel and Mountain Hardwear – has reported record net sales for the third quarter to the end of September. In comparison with the same period in 2021, this figure grew by 19 per cent to a total of USD 955 million. The value of Sorel-branded goods increased by 28 per cent and sales of Columbia products grew by 19 per cent.
The US remained the company’s most important market over the three-month period. Domestic net sales achieved USD 607 million, which also represents a 19 per cent year-on-year boost. Sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa were up by USD 153.5 million (a 41 per cent growth over last year), and the Latin America and Asia-Pacific market improved by 12 per cent to generate USD 115.4 million.
