The construction of the shoe backpart as a whole in women’s high-heeled footwear must be carefully controlled to avoid failures. A faulty backpart may only lead to a dissatisfied customer complaining of instability, but it could result in injury to the wearer and claims for damages. The overall strength of the backpart will also affect the strength of the heel attachment.
