New VP and general manager for OrthoLite Cirql

Comfort and performance footwear insoles producer OrthoLite has announced the appointment of Matt Thwaites as vice president and general manager of its ‘OrthoLite Cirql’ sustainable materials solution.

Mr Thwaites brings more than two decades of experience in sales and operations in the textile industry to his new role. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, at the OrthoLite Cirql headquarters, he will lead the brand’s global production, sales and go-to-market strategy, while also aiming to ‘further the vision of moving the global footwear industry toward a 360 degree solution of circularity’. 

Before joining the OrthoLite Cirql team, Mr Thwaites served as global sales and marketing director for Coats’ footwear division. During his nine years at the industrial thread producer, he progressed from business development director of the company’s Vietnam operation to ultimately leading a team of more than 300 people to record sales levels, as well as being a key member of the COVID relief solutions team.
