Following the launch of its consumer-first strategy announced in May, the UK-based Dr Martens footwear company has introduced a new global brand platform called ‘With Bouncing Soles’, alongside an upgraded e-commerce experience.
The new platform takes its name from the phrase featured on the company’s iconic heel loops since 1960 and introduces a refreshed visual identity across international markets. The initiative forms part of Dr Martens’ 2026 strategy to modernise both its digital and physical consumer touchpoints.
As part of the rollout, the brand has launched a redesigned e-commerce website in the US and key European markets, with additional regions set to follow. The platform combines online retail with editorial and brand-focused content, aiming to make it easier for consumers to access product information and complete purchases.
The brand is also continuing to implement its four-tier retail strategy, which is designed to move stores beyond a purely transactional role in order to create more experience-led environments. Following new store openings in London and Seoul, Dr Martens plans to refurbish its Brand Centre locations in Paris, Munich, New York and Los Angeles during the latter part of 2026.
According to chief executive Ije Nwokorie, the company is entering the next stage of its strategy and investing in assets that will strengthen long-term brand appeal. He said the positive response to the Brewer Street Beacon store in London had reinforced this direction, adding that the refreshed identity, enhanced online experience and planned Brand Centre updates represent the clearest expression yet of Dr Martens being an ambitious and consumer-led business.
