Chinese leather show is a growing attraction

This year’s All China Shoe-Tech event (also known as the Leather, Shoe Material & Shoe Machinery Fair) is to be held in August at the Wenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre. According to the show organisers, the leather and footwear industry is looking forward to a prosperous year, with demand and subsequent sales figures predicted to rise.

Now in its 16th year, All China Shoe-Tech is billed as one of the leading leather fairs in Asia, and is marketed as both an international trading platform and a showpiece for technological innovation. As China is the world’s largest manufacture base for leather and leathergoods, this exhibition is promoted as allowing visitors to access the latest products, study industry trends and develop new business.

In 2010, the event – which is dedicated to leather, shoe materials, shoe machineries, shoe chemicals, accessories, components and technologies – attracted over 600 exhibitors from 28 countries. This year’s show is expanding to 35,000 sq m, will feature more than 1,300 exhibition stands and is expected to attract more than 20,000 international delegates.
