Italian leather fair showcases autumn/winter designs

Thousands of new leather samples for the coming season.

The second Lineapelle exhibition of the year will open its doors on 18th October, with over 20,000 visitors from more than 100 different countries expected to attend the three-day event. Dedicated to leather, accessories, components and synthetics for footwear, leathergoods, garments and furniture, the forthcoming event will feature designs for the autumn/winter 2012/2013 seasons, and is to be spread over 12 halls of the complex. As only leading manufacturers can apply to exhibit at the fair, it is claimed to provide visitors with an opportunity to meet the key figures in the sector.

Lineapelle will feature the latest components and accessories for footwear and leathergoods

At the April 2011 fair, 300 companies displayed leather, 400 showcased accessories and components, and around 100 were marketing synthetic products. In total, 1,039 exhibiting companies were represented, of which 300 were based outside Italy. Since the show’s inception in 1981, one of Lineapelle’s main aims has been to highlight new trends and allow delegates to identify changes in the leather industry, thus to be in a position to adapt to forthcoming fashions in footwear and other areas.
