International delegates preparing for GDS/Global Shoes

As one of the major international events on the footwear and accessories calendar, the next edition of the GDS footwear and accessories event will open its doors in the German city of Düsseldorf on March 14th. Exhibiting companies will showcase their styles for the Autumn/Winter 2012 season during the three-day fair.

At the last GDS show, almost 1,300 exhibitors presented their products and services to some 24,000 visitors, half of which came from more than 70 different countries worldwide outside Germany.

In addition to displaying the latest fashion and trends, GDS also provides traders and buyers the opportunity to discuss what is happening within the industry and how business around the word is faring. A programme of demonstrations, seminars and lectures has been organised to keep delegates informed about the footwear and accessories market.

A second exhibition – Global Shoes – is held at the same time as GDS. This event provides a platform for retailers, manufacturers and wholesalers to discuss ongoing market trends and order requirements. GDS and Global Shoes will once again be held in midweek, a change that occurred in 2010 and was positively received.
