Evaluating colour fastness
Investigating the ability of a material to retain its original colour when subjected to various influences.
Discolouration and colour transfer can begin from the moment footwear is manufactured or packaged, when different shoemaking and packaging materials come into contact with each other. Footwear on retail display may also be exposed to natural daylight through glass – another factor that can cause discolouration.
