Solvent-free priming of footwear components

A switch to water-based adhesives begins with an audit of current operations – solvent-based adhesives (SBAs) are remarkably tolerant of bad practice on a typical cemented line. As an example, poor priming, roughing, cleaning and preparation can to some extent be concealed by the use of SBAs.
