Comparison of electrical properties in footwear

Outlining the EN ISO, ASTM and CSA standards for a type of safety footwear offering very specific properties.

Most standards for industrial footwear contain optional requirements for the measurement of electrical resistance properties. These are for i) products designed to offer protection against live electrical circuits and ii) footwear designed to minimise the effect of the build-up of a static charge within the wearer’s body. This article will specifically focus on the latter.
