SATRA Technical Seminars: Heel attachment and backpart construction

SATRA experts John Hubbard and Charlotte Fowle will join Steve Rose at the SATRA offices and laboratory in Dongguan to deliver a series of technical seminars across four days. The seminars are aimed primarily at footwear technologists and will appeal to those new to the industry and also more experienced personnel wishing to gain an update on the latest thinking in a particular area.

The materials and construction of backparts in high-heeled footwear are of critical importance. Any failures have the potential to cause injury to the wearer and the possibility of compensation and product recall, leading to brand damage. All components must be quality tested before production and the final construction also must be proven to perform well.

This is a half-day seminar, taking place in the morning.
