SATRA Technical Seminars: Quality control in footwear manufacture

SATRA experts John Hubbard and Charlotte Fowle will join Steve Rose at the SATRA offices and laboratory in Dongguan to deliver a series of technical seminars across four days. The seminars are aimed primarily at footwear technologists and will appeal to those new to the industry and also more experienced personnel wishing to gain an update on the latest thinking in a particular area.

For finished products to be made to a consistent and acceptable standard, the quality of the product at each stage of manufacturing should be carefully monitored. Furthermore, each manufacturing process must be monitored and controlled. This seminar will identify the key elements of in-factory quality control and explain what monitoring and control mean in terms of processes and the product itself.

This is a half-day seminar, taking place in the afternoon.
