Mark Southam reviews what we mean by risk and discusses the various factors that feed into risk analysis, review and resolution. Risk classifications are examined and techniques for measuring these classifications will be covered. The importance of using material, process and testing specifications will be highlighted by looking at various footwear faults, which might present a risk to both the wearer and the supplier.
