There has been a growth in the development of new and innovative footwear materials, particularly those which are sustainable and have low environmental impact.

These materials require the same testing as any other used in footwear. Many have already undergone a host of basic but essential tests to confirm their suitability. However, we often test materials that are already in use for additional desirable properties, for example, levels of breathability of leather.

In this webinar Tom Bayes will discuss upper material testing and how it can guide the selection of new materials.
