Chemical compliance for furniture seminar

Aimed at anyone involved in the furniture and furnishings industry in the UK and EU, this seminar will include advice on developing effective strategies to ensure compliance with chemical legislation, with an emphasis on the different roles within the supply chain. The programme will include:

• Background and key requirements of REACH and UK REACH regulations, including the impact of recent updates on the furniture and furnishings industries
• A review of how REACH applies to consumer goods, including the restricted substances within Annex XVII which are relevant to the furniture industry, and obligations if SVHCs are present in products
• Restricted Substances Lists - a discussion of how brand specifications can be created and utilised to improve communication throughout the supply chain
• An overview of the importance of due diligence testing, including advice on how to use risk assessments to devise effective testing strategies
• A practical exercise to enable delegates to apply what they have learned to real world scenarios

The seminar will be held at SATRA's headquarters in Kettering, UK.

Cost

The member price for either event is £200. Members attending both events receive a discounted price of £325 for both. The non-member price for a single event is £275, or £450 for both events.
