Footwear components such as trims, grindery and straps play an important role in both product performance and safety – particularly in children’s footwear, where secure attachment is critical. In this webinar, we will explore the purpose of these components, the safety concerns associated with them, and the test methods used to evaluate their attachment strength and durability.
SATRA footwear technologist Niamh Bailey will discuss the function of trims, grindery and straps for both fashion and children’s footwear, and explain the key testing approaches used to assess their security and performance. The session will highlight the importance of robust attachment testing to help manufacturers to meet safety expectations and compliance requirements.
