The world of footwear testing is complex, with test methods produced by numerous organisations. With such a wide range of documents available, it can be difficult to know which to use and how they are developed.
This session will be presented by Simon Courtney, SATRA’s Divisional Manager for Footwear and convenor of ISO TC94 SC13 (foot protection) and CEN TC161 (foot and leg protectors). Drawing on his extensive experience developing test methods at SATRA and through his work on international standardisation committees, Simon will explain how test methods are created and why they evolve.
