This seminar, which will be held on Tuesday October 20th 2026 from 09:45 to 15:00, will be beneficial to manufacturers, distributors and retailers of furniture and furnishings within the UK and the EU. It will provide an overview of current chemical legislation, with emphasis on developing effective strategies to ensure ongoing compliance. The programme will include:
Key requirements of REACH and UK REACH regulations, and how these impact the furniture and furnishings industries.
A review of relevant restricted substances within Annex XVII, and legal obligations if SVHCs are present in products.
A discussion of how brand restricted substances lists can help to ensure compliance by improving communication throughout the supply chain.
An overview of the importance of due diligence testing, including advice on how to use risk assessments to devise effective testing strategies.
A practical exercise to enable delegates to apply what they have learned to solving problems in real world scenarios. The seminar will be held at SATRA’s headquarters in Kettering, UK.
The member price for the event is GBP 200. The non-member price is GBP 275. Discounts are available for multiple bookings – a 10% discount will apply for bookings of two to three delegates, with this rising to 15% for bookings of four or more. All prices exclude any applicable VAT.
