Brazil’s FIMEC show plays host to many local and international suppliers of leather, chemical products, components and machinery to the footwear & leather sectors. On its 36th anniversary, FIMEC 2013 hopes to attract over 50 thousand visitors from all continents.

SATRA’s investment in this year’s FIMEC exhibition indicates a growing industry demand for technical support and knowledge across South America. The SATRA stand is in cooperation with PCA Strategic Consulting, who are based in Brazil and will work with SATRA to help with customer liaison and translation. SATRA’s attendance marks the beginning of a new approach to the South American market and a substantial investment in strengthening current relationships and forging new ones.

The SATRA stand, located in Hall 4 and grid referenced as G-4156, will include a demonstration of SATRA VisionStitch, the complete stitching improvement package for all stitching operations, designed to improve productivity and quality. Technical expert, Ray Wisken, will explain the benefits of VisionStitch and brings with him over 30 years' experience working with international brands and manufacturers throughout the world.

Also on display at the SATRA stand will be a selection of footwear test equipment, designed and manufactured in the UK by SATRA and often the industry first choice for testing product at source. SATRA's head of Research, Tom Bayes, is one of the key contacts attending FIMEC and we encourage any discussion on how the SATRA research team can help find ways to make footwear more durable, comfortable, safe and with less impact on the environment.
