Determination of sound insulation performances of enclosures — Part 1: Measurements under laboratory conditions (for declaration purposes)

This test is designed to assess the sound insulation performance (or insertion loss) of a machine enclosure. It can be conducted using either a noise source, for which the enclosure is designed, or, in cases of generic enclosures, an artificial noise source. Measurements can be made to assess either sound power isolation or sound pressure isolation (or both).
