Audiometric test methods — Part 2: Sound field audiometry with pure-tone and narrow-band test signals
Audiometry allows the assessment of a person’s hearing threshold. The use of sound field audiometry provides data not only on the air conduction hearing mechanism, as would be the case with a standard headphone hearing assessment, but rather of the entire hearing mechanism. This is due to the fact that bone conduction and air conduction thresholds are assessed in combination. Our system can be used to assess hearing thresholds at frequencies of 63Hz to 16kHz.
